Day 6
In Genesis 17, God establishes a covenant with Abram, prom-
ising to make him the father of many nations. This covenant
is a powerful expression of God’s faithfulness, and it requires
Abram’s obedience and commitment. In Matthew 5, Jesus
takes the call to righteousness even further, teaching us to love
even our enemies, to forgive, and to pursue peace relentlessly.
Through Jesus, we, too, are invited into a covenant with
God—one marked by faithfulness, love, and grace. The Holy
Spirit empowers us to live out this covenant, filling us with the
compassion and strength needed to love others deeply and
forgive those who have wronged us. The Spirit helps us fulfill
God’s call to love unconditionally, as Jesus loved us.
Today, reflect on the faithfulness of God’s covenant in your life.
How can you honor this covenant by walking in Spirit-led love,
even toward those who are challenging to love? Ask the Holy
Spirit to fill you with a compassionate heart that reflects God’s
grace, empowering you to live in love each day.
