Advent Day 11 - My Strength Comes from the Lord

Advent Day 11 – My Strength Comes from the Lord

Scripture Reading:
“My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” — Psalm 121:2 (ESV)

Reflection:
Advent is a time of waiting, and waiting can often test our strength. Whether it’s enduring challenging circumstances or simply longing for the fulfillment of God’s promises, we can feel weary. But Psalm 121 reminds us that we are not alone in this journey. Our help comes from the Creator of the universe—the One who made heaven and earth.

As we meditate on this verse, we are reminded that God’s strength is limitless. The same God who placed the stars in the sky and shaped the mountains is the One who comes to our aid. In the midst of Advent, as we prepare to celebrate Christ’s birth, let us remember that Jesus came to be our ultimate Helper and Savior. He is Emmanuel, "God with us," and in Him, we find the strength we need to press on.

When life feels overwhelming, lift your eyes to Him. The Lord, who crafted the beauty of creation, is also crafting a beautiful plan for your life. His help is constant, His strength is sure, and His love never fails.

Application:
  1. Focus on the Source: When you feel weak or discouraged, take a moment to pause and pray, asking God for His strength and guidance.
  2. Encourage Someone Else: Share Psalm 121:2 with a friend or loved one who might be feeling weary. Remind them of God’s unshakable support.
  3. Practice Trust: Reflect on a situation where you need to rely on God’s strength. Surrender it to Him, trusting that His help will come in His perfect timing.

Prayer:
Lord, You are the Maker of heaven and earth, and my help comes from You. Thank You for being my strength when I feel weak and my hope when I feel weary. During this Advent season, help me to trust in Your unfailing support and to lift my eyes to You. May I walk in the confidence of Your love and grace. Amen.
