Advent Day 7 - God is Always with You
Advent Day 7 - God is Always with You
Happy Saturday!
Life can feel uncertain and overwhelming at times, but as believers, we can take comfort in one unshakable truth: God is always with us. His presence brings peace, courage, and strength, no matter what we face.
In Psalm 16:8, David declares with confidence, "I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me." This assurance of God's constant presence reminds us that we never walk alone.
God’s faithfulness is reiterated in Deuteronomy 31:8-9: "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." These words were spoken to encourage the Israelites, and they still hold true for us today. No matter what lies ahead, God is already there, guiding and strengthening us.
When fear threatens to paralyze us, God’s command in Joshua 1:9 echoes loudly: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." God’s presence enables us to face even the most daunting challenges with boldness.
In Isaiah 41:10, God reassures us, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." This promise is a reminder of His sustaining power when we feel weak or overwhelmed.
Isaiah also beautifully paints the picture of God going before and behind us in Isaiah 52:12: "For the Lord will go ahead of you; yes, the God of Israel will protect you from behind." God is our protector, surrounding us with His care.
Finally, Hebrews 13:5 reminds us of God’s unchanging promise: "I will never fail you. I will never abandon you." His presence brings contentment and peace, freeing us from fear and worry.
Today, let these Scriptures remind you that God is with you in every moment. Whether you are facing challenges, making decisions, or simply going about your daily life, you can rest in the assurance of His steadfast presence.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the promise of Your constant presence. Help us to trust in Your guidance and strength, especially in times of fear or uncertainty. Remind us that You go before us, stand beside us, and guard us from behind. May we walk boldly, knowing that You are always with us. Amen.
