Advent Day 15 - God Always Sees Me
Advent Day 15: God Always Sees Me
"You are a God of seeing, for she said, 'Truly here I have seen Him who looks after me.'” – Genesis 16:13
In the busyness of the Advent season, it’s easy to feel overlooked or lost in the crowd. But today’s reflection reminds us of an extraordinary truth: God always sees us.
Hagar, a servant in a difficult situation, gave God the name “El Roi,” meaning “the God who sees me.” In her moment of despair, when she felt alone and abandoned, God appeared to her, showing her that He was aware of her pain and had a plan for her life.
This Advent, we celebrate the God who came to us in Jesus, showing us that He not only sees us but is also deeply involved in our lives. The birth of Christ is a tangible reminder of God’s care and His desire to be with us. Whether you’re filled with joy this season or carrying burdens, take heart—God sees you, knows you, and loves you completely.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being the God who sees me. Help me to rest in the assurance of Your care and presence this Advent season. Open my eyes to see others as You see them, with love and compassion. Amen.
Reflection:
Scripture for Further Meditation:
"You are a God of seeing, for she said, 'Truly here I have seen Him who looks after me.'” – Genesis 16:13

- When have you felt most aware of God’s watchful care?
- How can you reflect God’s love to someone who needs to know they are seen?
Scripture for Further Meditation:
- "The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their cry." – Psalm 34:15
- "Even the darkness is not dark to You; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with You." – Psalm 139:12
