Advent Day 12 - God Takes Care of Me

Advent Day 12 - God Takes Care of Me
Isaiah 46:4 ESV
"Even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save."
Advent is a time of waiting, of reflection, and of hope. As we light the candles and prepare our hearts to celebrate the birth of Jesus, Isaiah 46:4 reminds us of the enduring care of our Heavenly Father.
From the moment He created us, God has been committed to sustaining us. This verse assures us that His care doesn’t waver with time or change with circumstances. He promises to carry us, not just when we are young and strong, but into our old age, when we are weak and vulnerable.
Consider the picture painted here: God, who made us, also bears us, carries us, and ultimately saves us. His care is personal and continuous. He doesn’t abandon us when we falter; instead, He lifts us up and holds us close.
As we move through the Advent season, let this truth settle in your heart: the God who came as a baby in Bethlehem to save the world is the same God who carries you today. His love and care are unchanging, dependable, and eternal.
Reflection Questions:
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the promise of Your enduring care. You are faithful from the beginning to the end of our days. Help us to rest in Your love and trust in Your strength, knowing that You carry us through every season. This Advent, may we draw closer to You and celebrate the gift of Your presence in our lives. Amen.

- How have you seen God carry you through difficult seasons in your life?
- As you prepare your heart for Christmas, what steps can you take to trust in His care more fully?
